William Wiley, MD Joins Omega Ophthalmics LLC Medical Advisory Board
Lexington, KY – July 7, 2014.
Omega Ophthalmics LLC (Omega) has announced today that William Wiley, MD has joined their Medical Advisory Board, effective immediately.
Dr. Wiley graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Chemistry and continued on to the Medical College of Ohio, graduating in 1998. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Wiley has also completed a clinical externship, graduating with honors in ophthalmology from Harvard University in 1997. During a rotation in medical school in Russia, he worked with Dr. Svyatoslov Fyodorov, the pioneer of modern refractive surgery. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the International Society of Refractive Surgeons.
In 2009, Dr. Wiley was selected by Sightpath Medical as a Top 10 Surgeon in the US for demonstrating surgical expertise through high volume of cataract surgeries, continued surgical excellence, and exceptional patient care. He was the first Cleveland Clinic physician to implant the Tecnis aspheric and ReZoom Multifocal Intraocular lenses available for cataract surgery. Dr. Wiley was also among the first physicians in the country to implant the Crystalens accommodative intraocular lens also available for cataract surgery. To date, Dr. Wiley has performed over 10,000 cataract and refractive surgical procedures. Dr. Wiley currently resides with his wife and family in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.
